Clinical manifestations


Different degrees of fatigue, irritability and depression can first appear 10 to 14 days before menstruation, lethargy, reluctance to do housework, or even crying or anger for no reason. In severe cases, they do not want to pay attention to family members and friends and stay in bed alone. Often have breast tenderness, abdominal distension, and constipation. Some people gain weight and have swelling 2 to 3 days before menstruation. Some people can’t concentrate before menstruation, forgetful, have difficulty in judging, and have uncoordinated actions. Therefore, they feel troubled by affecting their work, especially headaches. 1 to 3 days, making women feel uncomfortable. Some people have the above symptoms disappear quickly after menstrual cramps, and some people have to continue until menstruation is clear before disappearing.

Clinical manifestations: Typical symptoms usually start 1 week before menstruation, gradually worsen, and become most severe in the last 2-3 days before menstruation, and disappear suddenly after menstruation.

Chinese treatment

1. Syndrome Differentiation Treatment

Liver stagnation and qi stagnation

Symptoms: breast tenderness before menstruation, like induration or lump, lower abdomen pain and distended both sides, irritability, or depression, sighing, or even irritability, insomnia, or severe headache, or swelling of limbs, tongue texture Usually, the moss is thin and white, and the pulse is stringy or slippery.

Treatment: Soothing the liver and regulating qi.

2. Blood stasis

Symptoms: Severe headache during the premenstrual period, or pain in the waist and knee joints, reduced heat and pain, severe cold and pain, or fever during menstruation, abdominal pain or swelling of the limbs, and it starts at hand, often accompanied by low or irregular menstrual flow Smooth, dark purple in the meridian, dark purple tongue or petechiae on the sharp edges, astringent pulse.

Therapy: Regulating Qi and Activating Blood, Resolving Blood Stasis and Dredging Collaterals.

3. Blood deficiency

Symptoms: dizziness and headache during or after menstruation; palpitations, lack of sleep sound, mental fatigue, or body pain, numbness, soft limbs, or fever, cold and spontaneous sweating, less gas and lazy talk, or frequent rubella, itchy skin, and unsmooth complexion, The skin is dull, menstrual flow is low, the color is thin, the tongue is pale red, the fur is white, and the pulse is weak.

Governing Law: Nourishing Qi and Nourishing Blood.

4. Deficiency of the spleen

Symptoms: swollen limbs on the face during menstruation, decreased abdominal distension and appetite, loose stools, or heavy dizziness before and after menstruation, chest tightness and nausea, heavy menstrual flow, light color and thin texture, pale red tongue, white and slippery fur, slippery or slow pulse.

Treatment method: invigorating the spleen, warming the yang and promoting water.

5. Kidney Yang Deficiency

Symptoms: Meridian face swelling, swollen limbs, sore waist and knees, loose stools, cold limbs, oliguria, heavy menstrual flow, light color and thin texture, pale tongue and white fur, late pulse.

Treatment method: warming the kidneys and promoting yang and distilling water.

6. Kidney Yin Deficiency

Symptoms: hot flashes after menstruation or after menstruation, night sweats, dizziness, soreness in waist and knees, or breast swelling, or erosion of mouth and tongue, dry mouth and throat, or dumb voice, five upset and hot, frequent early months, low volume, red color, Or the menstrual period is prolonged, the tongue is red, there is a little coating, and the pulse is thin.

Treatment: nourish the kidney and nourish yin.
