Allergic rhinitis:
Allergic rhinitis, namely allergic rhinitis, refers to the nose that is mainly released by IgE-mediated mediators (mainly histamine) after exposure to allergens by atopic individuals and involved in a variety of immune-competent cells and cytokines.
Allergic rhinitis is a multifactorial disease induced by the interaction of genes and the environment. Risk factors for allergic rhinitis may exist in all age groups.
1. Genetic factors
Patients with allergic rhinitis have an atopic physique and usually show familial aggregation. Studies have found that certain genes are associated with allergic rhinitis.
2. Allergen exposure
Allergens are antigens that induce and react with specific IgE antibodies. They are mostly derived from animals, plants, insects, fungi, or occupational substances. Its ingredients are protein or glycoprotein, and very few are polysaccharides. Allergens are mainly divided into inhaled allergens and food allergens. Inhaled allergens are the main cause of allergic rhinitis.
Clinical manifestations
The typical symptoms of allergic rhinitis are mainly paroxysmal sneezing, watery nasal discharge, nasal congestion, and nasal itching. Some are accompanied by a decreased sense of smell.
1. sneeze
There are several paroxysmal seizures a day, with more than 3 seizures at a time, mostly in the morning or at night, or immediately after exposure to allergens.
2. Clear tears
A lot of watery noses, sometimes dripping from the nostril unconsciously.
3. Stuffed nose
Intermittent or continuous, unilateral or bilateral, with varying degrees of severity.
4. Itchy nose
Most patients have itching inside the nose, and patients with hay fever may be accompanied by itchy eyes, ears, and throat.
Treatments:
Traditional Chinese herbal medicine can be used for the internal treatment of this symptom. External treatments include acupuncture and massage
Body Acupuncture
Ear Acupuncture
Water Acupuncture
It belongs to the category of "allergic rhinitis" (biqiu) in Chinese medicine, usually caused by deficiency of yang qi of the lung, spleen and kidney; weakness of defensive qi and invasion of pathogenic wind-cold into the nasal cavity, leading to conflict between vital qi and evil qi, hence unsmooth flow of lung qi with obstruction of the nasal cavity.
