Periodontal disease

Clinical manifestations of marginal gingivitis: conscious symptoms are not obvious, occasionally gingivitis, itching, or bad breath. Bleeding gums can occur when there is local irritation such as brushing teeth, biting hard food and sucking. Patients often see a doctor for this reason. On examination, there is tartar attached to the neck of the tooth. The color of the gums changed from light red to dark red. The gums are soft and may have slight swelling so that the edges of the gums become thicker and the papillae become rounded and blunt. Easily bleeding gums during probing

Marginal gingivitis treatment: mainly to remove local irritating factors, such as the use of specialist supragingival surgery to remove plaque and calculus. Eliminate food impaction, remove bad repairs, etc.; when inflammation is severe, local medication can be used, such as flushing the gingival sulcus with 1 to 3% hydrogen peroxide solution, and then apply 10% iodine mixture or 2% iodine glycerin after drying. , Gargle with 0.05-0.2% chlorhexidine solution or compound borax mouthwash, 0.3% zinc chloride solution, etc.

Pay attention to the maintenance of oral hygiene after treatment. Teach patients the correct method of brushing their teeth, insist on brushing their teeth in the morning and evening, gargle after meals, and keep the oral cavity clean to consolidate the effect.

Lesions can involve attached gums. It is more common in puberty, and the gums on the labial side of the upper and lower anterior teeth are the most common site

The age of onset is more common after 35 years old, so it is also called adult periodontitis. It often develops further from gingivitis. If gingivitis is not treated in time, the inflammation can spread from the gums to the periodontal ligament, alveolar bone, and cementum to become periodontitis. Since there are usually no obvious conscious symptoms in the early stage, it is easy to be ignored.
Can't keep teeth. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen publicity and education to enable patients to see a doctor early and receive timely treatment.

Juvenile periodontitis

Other tooth wear that is not caused by the normal chewing process is a pathological phenomenon, collectively referred to as non-chewing wear

Alveolar process fracture

Definition: Alveolar process fractures are more common in the upper and lower anterior teeth, and can also occur in the upper and lower jaws at the same time. Most of the teeth, alveolar processes and surrounding soft tissues are injured.
